Small Business Loans for Women
As a small business owner myself, I am fully cognizable of the unique challenges facing a woman-owned enterprise. It is hard enough to battle against competition, market conditions, inventory shortages, the whims of customers, and the like, let alone doing so in a male- dominated banking industry.
The SBA loans I specialize in are tailor made for such ventures. Calling them “quick and easy” is not an empty slogan. The paperwork is minimal because the loans are small. This allows us to secure an answer usually within three to five days with follow-up standardized SBA forms for quick funding.
And then there is the nature of the women who own these businesses themselves. This I know particularly well. In the thousands of loans I have processed for women, it is clear they are very good risks. Women tend to be well organized, good bill payers, passionate, willing to take chances but still conservative fiscally, diligent in utilizing paperwork, have excellent customer service and people skills, good staff motivators, and above all realistic. It doesn’t get much better as a blueprint to success.
The number of self-employed women has increased steadily over the past three decades. Self-employment rates for women has shown a proportional increase over the last 35 years. In 1979 the self-employment rate for women was 42% the rate of men but is now 55% from 1994 to 2003. In 2003 there were 6.8% women in the labor force self-employed (Self-Employed Women and Time Use, SBA Office of Advocacy, 2/09).
In the seven years of traveling this country, I have noticed an increase in women-owned businesses. An increase much larger than some of the prevailing statistics. At this stage, I am receiving applications of almost 40% compared to our male counterparts.
For this reason, I would be honored to help with your business loan application. You can also call me or my staff if you have any questions. Thanks for applying. Sue Malone.
